Assalamualaikum Warahmatullah, The use of Turban and Topi is the Sunnat of our Prophet, the habit of the Sahabas, Taba’een and the righteous people. These are the signs of Muslim, so we should also use these, if we can’t use throughout the day at least we should offer the prayers by covering our heads, though it is not necessary for the men.
