Getting started with Meeting Mode in BlackBerry 10 OS version 10.3.2

Post Type :

mockupFirst introduced in BlackBerry 10 OS version 10.3, Meeting Mode places your device into a specific notification profile whenever you have a meeting in your calendar.

For example, I have Meeting Mode set up to silence my device whenever I am in meetings that I have accepted in my calendar so I am not ‘that guy’ with the phone going off constantly ;)

To help you get started with Meeting Mode, listed below is an overview of how to turn on this feature and customize it to suit your needs. Make sure you try it out!

Note: Some of the options below only appear if you are using BlackBerry 10 OS version 10.3.2. If you are using a earlier version of BlackBerry 10 watch for a OS update in the near future! Turn on Meeting Mode

  1. Open the Calendar
  2. Swipe down from the top of the screen
  3. Tap Settings followed by Meeting Mode
  4. Turn on Meeting Mode
  5. Tap Configure Meeting Mode Profile
    • Enter a short description of the profile, i.e. Meeting Profile
    • Verify Sound and Vibrate are disabled and optionally enable Notify During Calls
  6. To choose the calendar event status that Meeting Mode applies to tap the Status field
    • Available options include: All¸ Busy, Tentative and Busy, or Busy with Participants
  7. To turn off Meeting Mode for a specific calendar, tap Omit Calendars
    • Note: Meeting Mode is not supported for hidden calendars
  8. To set the maximum length of time that Meeting Mode apples to, tap Maximum Duration
    • Available options include: 2 hours, 3 hours, 4 hours, 8 hours, or No Limit

After completing these steps, and depending on the settings you choose previously, the next time you have a meeting, your device will switch to your Meeting Mode profile and you won’t interrupt your boss with unwanted notifications :)
