Thanks for such a useful post!
I purchased Uniwork 273XL Ink(6 pack) for Epson XP-600 from Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/d/Inkjet-Printer-Ink/Uniwork-Cartridge-Remanufactured-Printer-Magenta/B075DGFGG4), today I opened the 273XL Black and inserted it in the printer but it gave me "cannot recognize the cartridge" error, I have done everything from rebooting the printer to cleaning the cartridge, downgrading the firmware to removing the carbon band but nothing helped.
I would be grateful if there are any other suggestions.

I am able to find an older firmware for XP-600, you can add it in your table:
Epson Expression Premium XP-600 Firmware Update - Recovery Mode version MA28E8 : https://ftp.epson.com/drivers/epson16692.exe

I think I have found the issue. It seems the ink cartridges are different for American and Europian version of Epson XP-600 and as I ordered from Amazon, they sent me the American version without asking or mentioning about variations in versions, thus these are not compatible with my Europian XP-600.
