Hadith: The Indication of a Strong Man (English/Arabic)

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “The strong man is not the one who wrestles others; rather, the strong man is the one who controls himself at times of anger.” [The Book of Al-Birr: Sahih Muslim]

or

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:

Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "The strong man is not one who is good at wrestling, but the strong man is one who controls himself in a fit of rage."

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

وعن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال‏:‏ ‏ "‏ليس الشديد بالصرعة، إنما الشديد الذى يملك نفسه عند الغضب‏"‏ ‏(‏‏(‏متفق عليه‏)‏‏)‏ ‏.‏
