Throw away that old alarm clock and start your day right with Wakeful for BlackBerry [beta]

[ youtube video link for mobile viewing ]

Tired of that same old annoying alarm clock? Do you use your BlackBerry to wake up in the morning but what something a bit better? Wakeful for BlackBerry is currently in beta and ready to start your day off right. This alarm clock app changes things up from the normal annoying tone and gives you what you need to get going. Simply set the alarm time, and Wakeful will sound with a voice (male or female) that greets you and gives you the time, weather, latest news headlines and stock updates. You'll be in the know as soon as you wake up in the morning and ready to start your day. I honestly feel kind of futuristic when it fires up for me, like I have a personal computer assistant greeting me in the morning (geeky I know). If you want to check out Wakeful, you can sign up from the link below or head to the forums for more info.

A dying child was once placed in the lap of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Tears flowed from the Prophet's eyes. When he was questioned about crying for the child, the Prophet said: "(Tears are a form of) mercy that God has lodged in the hearts of His servants, and God is merciful only to those of His servants who are merciful (to others)." No man fills a pot worse than his stomach. For a person a few mouthfuls are sufficient to keep his back straight. Whomever Allah wills to guide, He opens his chest to Islam and whomever He intends to confound, He makes his chest narrow and squeezes so tight that, at the very idea of Islam, he feel as if his soul is going to climb up towards the sky. Mobiola xPlayer for BlackBerry updated to version 2.0

clip_image002

The multimedia player application known as Mobiola xPlayer was recently updated to 2.0. xPlayer has been around for quite a while, in fact it was one of the first applications I’ve ever reviewed on CrackBerry. It originally, and continues to, offer multimedia management options above and your beyond what your BlackBerry currently can. Yes, that means going past shuffling songs, listening to podcasts and creating playlists. With this application you can also open the door to over 100 predefined radio stations. Both podcasts and radio stations can be accessed through WiFi, direct TCP, BIS or BES. Rather than focusing on flashy looks, it brings functionality and control. Check out what SHAPE Services brought to the table with version 2.0:

  • Full support for OS 6.0 devices
  • Dropbox integration: if you have a Dropbox account, you can log in to your Dropbox directly from xPlayer, add files to playlist from Dropbox, manage playlists with Dropbox files and playback mp3 files directly from Dropbox. You don't need to download them. It's recommended to use Unlimited data plan or WiFi connection to playback files from your remote Dropbox. To create a Dropbox account, go to www.dropbox.com.
  • SHAPE Services split xPlayer into xPlayer (LITE version with Ads) and xPlayer Pro (with 7 days trial)
  • SHAPE Services cut prices to xPlayer Pro to $9.99.

Hadith

Narrated by: Anas bin Malik (R.A) Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him) said, "Do not hate one another, and do not be jealous of one another, and do not desert each other, and O, ALLAH's worshipers! JAPAN

clip_image002[4]

Stretching into the distance, waves caused by the tsunami pour over the coastline and rush inland swamping all before them. As the seawater passes over the land it mixes with the soil and begins to change color to a dark brown

clip_image003[4]

Helpless: A ship, dwarfed by the sheer size of the whirlpool, is drawn ever closer towards the vortex as is tossed about in the foaming waters off the port of Oarai, Ibaraki

clip_image004[4]

Menace: Wave upon wave heads towards the coastline which has already been breached by an earlier onslaught

clip_image005[4]

clip_image006[4]

With fires and destruction all around him a man picks his way carefully though the rubble while (right) there's gridlocked in either direction in Sendai as people try to escape the coastal city

clip_image007[4]

This extraordinary image shows how the quake split this road in Satte on the island of Honshu right down the middle

clip_image010[4]

Collapsed: Three shocked employees look at what has become of the factory in Sukagawa city, Fukushima, where moments earlier they had been working

clip_image011[4]

Raging seas: The tsunami pours through trees and engulfs homes on the coast of Natori, Miyagi Prefecture, after the earthquake struck

clip_image012[4]

The same scene just moments later shows how the entire area with dozens of homes is completely obliterated by the unforgiving waters which swept away anything in their path. Bobbing about on the surface is all the debris the waters have picked up along the way

clip_image013[4]

Swelling: The murky flow of mud and debris trapped in the tide of water washes over the tarmac car park at Sendai airport in northern Japan

clip_image014[4]

Destruction: Tsunami tidal waves race upstream along the Naka river at Hitachinaka city in Ibaraki hours after the massive 8.9 magnitude quake struck this morning

clip_image016[4]

Shock: black smoke rises from fires caused by the quake

clip_image017[4]

Aftermath: Clouds of grey smoke billow out of an oil refinery, and an inferno burns at its centre, in Chiba following the earthquake

clip_image018[4]

Concerned: Two office workers in Tokyo brace themselves for a potential disaster as the earthquake rumbled buildings and smoke can be seen rising from skyscrapers outside

clip_image020[4]

Effects: paramedics carry away casualties from a nearby building that was rocked by the earthquake

clip_image021[4]

Red alert: Flames engulf homes that were hit with the full force of the tsunami in the Miyagi region of north eastern Japan

clip_image022[4]

Debris: An eerie mist sweeps across the debris of destroyed homes and cars caught in the raging tsunami waters in Kesennuma in Miyagi, northern Japan

clip_image023[4]

clip_image024[4]

Explosion: Flames reach hundreds of feet into the sky after a natural gas facility in Chiba near Tokyo explodes after the earthquake, while right, a fire tears through residential houses in Yamada in northern Japan

clip_image025[4]

Aftershocks: A frail elderly man rests under a blanket as all around him the country is gripped by the full scale of the earthquake and right, young Japanese people evacuated from buildings at risk of collapsing wrap blankets around themselves

clip_image028[4]

Pile-up: New cars ready to be shipped are stacked on top of each other after the water gushed through Hitachinaka city in Ibaraki prefecture

clip_image029[4]

The sheer force of the quake is evident in this image of the road in Fukushima which has been flipped, buckled and broken

clip_image030[4]

Aftermath: The remains of houses are surrounded by broken wood and concrete after flood waters engulfed Iwaki town, Fukushima prefecture

clip_image031[4]

Giant fireballs rise from an oil refinery in Ichihara, which lies on the eastern coast of Japan, after being shaken by the earthquake off the coast
