Outlook 2010 Unable to open Word, Excel and Power Point Attachments from an email

In word and excel, under File, Options, select Trust Center, then Protected View, Uncheck the Box for Outlook attachments and the problem of not bring able to open outlook attachments in Word and Excel, goes away.
