How to buy Pakistani goat/lamb meat (mutton) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Goats and Lambs’ meat from different parts of the world are imported in Saudi Arabia on daily basis. These are available for sale in cold stores. I have been told that Pakistani, Indian and South African goats’ meat is available. It is in chilled form (not frozen). You have the choice to either buy whole goat or half goat.

I did my 1st such purchase on last Saturday. The shop I visited is in Hara (Wazarat), Riyadh. A person I know has been purchasing meat from that shop for years and is satisfied with the quality and price. The location of that store is as follows:

Coordinates: 24.667138,46.71142

Google Maps Link: http://goo.gl/maps/WAalv

I bought half goat, its weight was 5kg and it cost me SR 157 means SR 31.4/KG.

I have been told that there is also a cold store available on following location, another person I know has been buying meat from there on regular basis:

Coordinates: 24.6730902,46.70896377

Ayat

Our creation of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them is not a game. (Al-Anbiyaa,16)
Had We meant to make it a play ground, We would have done it by Ourself, without giving you discretion to do right and wrong, had We ever done so. (Al-Anbiyaa,17)

From: Muhammad Zaeem Khan

Ayat

Indeed successful are those believers (Al-Muminun,1)
who are humble in their Salah (prayers), (Al-Muminun,2)
who avoid vain talk, (Al-Muminun,3)
who are punctual in the payment of Zakah (charity), (Al-Muminun,4)
who guard their private parts (Al-Muminun,5)
except with their spouses or those who are legally in their possession, for in that case they shall not be blamed (Al-Muminun,6)
- however those who seek to go beyond that in lust are the ones who shall be the transgressors (Al-Muminun,7)
- who are true to their trust and covenants, (Al-Muminun,8)
and who are diligent about their Salah (prayers). (Al-Muminun,9)
These are the heirs (Al-Muminun,10)
who will inherit paradise; and live therein forever. (Al-Muminun,11)

Save your small village from alien attack in Asami: The Furry Samurai

I came across a fun little game a week or so ago and thought it would be great to share that discovery with the CrackBerry Nation. When it comes to playing games on my BlackBerry smartphone, I tend to just go for the quick play games. Something to kill time with. This game is just that. You are Asami, the Furry Samurai, tasked with saving your village from invading aliens. That, alone, made me want to check out the game.

Five Tip Friday – BlackBerry Q5 Tips

Q5Home

Here are five tips to help you get the most out of your BlackBerry Q5.

Working with text and controlling the cursor

Use the following cursor and text tips to help increase your efficiency when responding to emails, creating new documents and much more.

Controlling the cursor:

To get the cursor to a particular spot, tap the circle in the direction you’d like to move. For example, tap the right side of the cursor to move the cursor to the right, as shown in the screenshot below.

Q5Cursor2

To highlight and select text:

  • To select a word, tap and hold the word
  • To shrink or expand your selection, move the cursor indicators manually
  • To select text automatically, continue holding your finger to increase the selection size, e.g. word > sentence > paragraph.

To cut, copy or paste text:

  • To copy text, tap and hold the selected text and select Copy Q5Copy
  • To cut the text, tap and hold the selected text and select Cut Q5Cut
  • To paste, tap and hold where you want to paste text and select Paste Q5Paste

Home screen shortcuts

You can use the following shortcuts on your home screen to perform a number of actions:

  • Make a call – Type “call contact’s name” or “call phone number
  • Send an email – Type “email contact’s name” or “email email address
  • Send a text message – Type “text contact’s name” or “text phone number
  • Start a BBM chat – Type “BBM contact’s name”
  • Update your Facebook status – Type “Facebook status update
  • Post a tweet – Type “tweet tweet
  • Post a LinkedIn update – Type “LinkedIn status update
  • Add a note to BlackBerry Remember – Type “note note details
  • Add a task to BlackBerry Remember – Type “task task details

To learn more shortcuts, check out the home screen shortcuts section within the BlackBerry Q5 user guide or open the Help app and search for “home screen shortcuts.”

BlackBerry Hub and other application specific shortcuts

On top of the BlackBerry Hub shortcuts I’ve listed below, there are dozens more available when using other apps such as the browser or calendar. For example, my favorite shortcut is pressing R when viewing a blog post in the browser so I can use reader mode. To find other shortcuts, open the Help app and search for “shortcuts” or review the BlackBerry Q5 user guide.

While viewing your list of messages

  • Compose a message – Press C
  • Search the BlackBerry Hub – Press S
  • Next Unread Message – Press U
  • Move to the top of the BlackBerry Hub – Press T
  • Move to the bottom of the BlackBerry Hub – Press B

While in a message

  • Reply – Press R
  • Reply All – Press L
  • Forward – Press F

Adding symbols and accented characters

To add a symbol or accented character, press and hold a key to see the available symbols along the bottom of the screen. You can also add other symbols by tapping the sym Q5Sym key.

Q5Symbol

For additional typing shortcuts, review the typing on the keyboard section within the BlackBerry Q5 user guide or open the Help app and search “typing on the keyboard.”

Adding and removing typing languages

Looking to add another typing language? Here’s how you can select up to three different languages and switch between them on the fly, or manually:

  1. On the home screen, swipe down from the top of the screen
  2. Tap Settings followed by Language and Input
  3. Tap Input Languages followed by the Add/Remove Language icon along the bottom toolbar
  4. Select the checkbox beside the languages that you want to enable

If you need to switch input languages often, try turning on Language Detection within the Input Languages screen. When you enable this option, your device will detect which of up to three different languages you’re using and automatically adjust spell check, word completion and other features to match.

If you prefer switching languages manually, turn off Language Detection and whenever you are typing, press alt Q5Alt and the enter Q5Enter to switch languages. These language features make connecting with people across the world really easy and as someone trying to learn a new language, it has really helped me out since I can switch back and forth when I’m unsure of what to say.

To find out more about using multiple languages on your BlackBerry Q5, hop into the Help app and search for “languages” or review the language section within the BlackBerry Q5 user guide.
