[ YouTube link for mobile viewing ] For those using BlackBerry 10 OS version 10.2, several improvements have been made to text selection and management options such as cut, copy and paste. For a quick overview, check out the video and information below. (Select Text, Select All, Cut, Copy, Paste and Share) To select text, tap and hold a desired word until it is highlighted, continue holding the text to select more than a single word, such as a sentence or paragraph. To modify your selection, drag the sliders to the desired position. After selecting text, a set of possible actions will appear. If you aren’t familiar with the icons displayed, tap and hold an icon to see what it represents and then slide your finger off the icon to avoid performing the action. To perform an action, simply tap the corresponding icon. To deselect text, tap away from the text anywhere on your screen. If you have previously cut or copied text and would like to paste it, tap the desired location to the paste the text. If the cursor isn’t in the desired spot where you’d like to paste, tap the top, bottom, left or right of the circle to move the cursor to the precise location. Once satisfied, tap and hold to display the menu options and select paste. In addition to pasting text, you also have the ability to share copied content with friends via BBM, Twitter and many other methods using the share option. After copying text, tap the share icon and select how you would like to share the selected text using the list provided.
