How to confirm your BlackBerry ID, and why you should!

Do you know if your BlackBerry ID is confirmed?

Having a confirmed BlackBerry ID can help you restore access to your BlackBerry ID in the event you forgot your password. So, if you aren’t sure, here’s a quick overview of how to verify if your BlackBerry ID is confirmed and how to confirm it in less than 60 seconds :)

Using a BlackBerry 10 device

  1. Swipe down from the top of the home screen
  2. Tap Settings
  3. Tap BlackBerry ID
  4. Tap the Confirm Email button
    • If Confirm Email does not appear, this indicates that you have already confirmed your BlackBerry ID!
  5. Open your email address and find the message from donotreply@blackberry.com with the subject Confirm your BlackBerry ID email address
  6. In the email, click on the confirm your email address link
  7. Enter your BlackBerry ID password and click Submit

Using BBM on Android, iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, or Windows Phone

  1. Open BBM
  2. Tap the More button in the bottom right corner (3 dots)
  3. Tap Settings
  4. Tap on your BlackBerry ID
  5. Enter your BlackBerry ID password and tap Sign In
  6. Next to Email Status, tap Confirm my email
  7. Open your email address and find the message from donotreply@blackberry.com with the subject Confirm your BlackBerry ID email address
  8. In the email, click on the confirm your email address link
  9. Enter your BlackBerry ID password and click Submit

Using a web browser

  1. Go to http://blackberry.com/blackberryid
  2. Below Already have a BlackBerry?, click Sign In
  3. Enter your BlackBerry ID username and password.
  4. Click Sign In
  5. Click Account Details
  6. Under Email Status, click Confirm my email
  7. Click OK
  8. Open your email address and find the message from donotreply@blackberry.com with the subject Confirm your BlackBerry ID email address
  9. In the email, click on the confirm your email address link
  10. Enter your BlackBerry ID password and click Submit
