Beware! A new way of Fraud to entangle Corporate Employees

This is a new way in which the fraudster pretend to be the HR department of a famous company, they call you for a face to face interview and ask you to pay travel and hotel expenses in advance and that they would reimburse that money on your arrival. Upon payment, they disappear.

A friend of mine received following email:

Dear Applicant,
Please study attached documents for your immediate attention.

so he sent an email to the travel agent:


“At 25 Nov 2013 16:04:23 +0000 (UTC) from
Hi,
Hope this email finds you well. I have received an interview request from Total Oil and Gas London and its scheduled on 20th Dec, 2013. Can you please specify the information and documents required for processing my visa and travel
Regards,”

He got this reply:

He was wise enough not to fall in this trap but it can be anyone’s bad day. Share this with your contacts to warn them as well.
