The Prophet said, “No human ever filled a vessel worse than the stomach. Sufficient for any son of Adam are some morsels to keep his back straight. But if it must be, then one third for his food, one third for his drink and one third for his breath." (Imam Tirmidhi, Zuhd, 47).

Ayaat
ولو بسط الله الرزق لعباده لبغوا في الارض ولكن ينزل بقدر ما يشاء انه بعباده خبير بصير
[42:27] And if Allah had extended [excessively] provision for His servants, they would have committed tyranny throughout the earth. But He sends [it] down in an amount which He wills. Indeed He is, of His servants, Acquainted and Seeing.
وهو الذي ينزل الغيث من بعد ما قنطوا وينشر رحمته وهو الولي الحميد
[42:28] And it is He who sends down the rain after they had despaired and spreads His mercy. And He is the Protector, the Praiseworthy.
