You can get Zam Zam in 3 ways:

1.     Water Coolers inside Haramain: It is available in water coolers inside Haramain (Masjid e Haram, Makkah and Masjid e Nabvi SAW, Madina). You can drink Zam Zam as much as you like from these coolers, free of cost. You might be able to bring half liter bottle with you inside the Masjid, which you can fill with Zam Zam from these coolers. Bigger bottles are not allowed.

2.     Zam Zam taps outside Masjid e Haram: Zam Zam is available from taps near Makkah Al Mukarramah Library (Birth Place of Muhammad SAW), outside Masjid e Haram, Makkah. Bottle of any size can be filled from there, free of cost. GPS Coordinates: 21.424602, 39.829981. Some people also sell Zam Zam water bottles after filling them from here.

3.     King Abdullah Zam Zam Water Distribution Center: King Abdullah Zam Zam Water Distribution Center, Makkah is a government facility for distributing packed Zam Zam water bottles. For more details, you can visit the following link:

How to buy Zam Zam in Riyadh:

Zam Zam is available at multiple locations in Riyadh, but the availability of Zam Zam gets scarce during Ramadan and Hajj seasons, due to high load in Makkah. It is recommended to buy in advance, before these seasons start. I am aware of the following places:

During Ramadan and Hajj seasons, the price can go further up and sometimes Zam Zam is not available at all for some time.

History: 
18th April 2018: Now one can only buy 2 bottles per Iqama per 15 days from King Abdullah Zam Zam Water Distribution Center, Makkah. This has resulted in a further rise in the prices of Zam Zam bottles. Last week I purchased Zam Zam 10 liter bottles at the rate of SR 24 including VAT.
28^th August 2014: Before Ramadan, the government changed its policy about the availability of Zam Zam at King Abdullah Zam Zam Water Distribution Center, Makkah. As per the latest rule, one can only buy 4 Zam Zam bottles per Iqama per 10 days. This resulted in the rise in the prices of Zam Zam bottles throughout KSA. In Riyadh, the price of 1 Zam Zam bottle reached SR 25 to SR 30. After a gap of 2 months, this week I have found ‘Basateen Al Qasim’ selling Zam Zam bottles for SR 15 in Riyadh. Dr. Mushtaq informed me about this supermarket. I purchased 20 bottles considering how scarcely Zam Zam has been available in last 2 months in Riyadh.
During Ramadan and Hajj seasons, the price went up to SR 17, then to SR 20 and then Zam Zam was not available for some time.
