Introduced in BlackBerry 10 OS 10.2, Lock Screen Notifications allows you to get a glance of recent activity on your device by displaying notifications on your lock screen. You can view the first couple of lines from your most recent emails, BBM messages, text messages and more without having to unlock your device. Viewing a Lock Screen Notification Lock Screen Notifications are only available when your screen or device is locked so if you haven’t, lock your device by pressing the Lock key on the top of your device. After doing this, whenever you wake your device by pressing the Lock key or by swiping up from the bottom the screen slightly, you’ll be able to view your lock screen notifications. To close a notification, tap any of the notifications icons or swipe your finger from the right to the left. Turn off the Lock Screen Notifications feature Some features aren’t made for everyone so if desired, turn off Lock Screen Notifications using the steps below.
TroubleshootingWhy can’t I see my work space notifications? Notifications for accounts that are associated with your work space do not appear in the Lock Screen Preview when your work space is locked. To view work space notifications, unlock your device and enter your BlackBerry Balance password. I can’t see Lock Screen Notifications when I wake my device using the Power/Lock key? This can occur if you have turned on the option to unlock your device using the Power/Lock key. To turn this feature off so you can view lock screen preview notifications instead of unlocking your device complete the following steps.
