Introduced in BlackBerry 10 OS version 10.3.1, a new option has been added to the Pictures app that allows you to see, on a map, where your pictures were taken. Provided your pictures have GPS information enabled (aka Geotagging) you can view photos from the same location, even if they are in different folders. This feature makes reliving a specific trip really easy! To help you get started here’s a quick overview of how to use this gesture :) To view the location of pictures you’ve taken, you must have Geotag Pictures enabled within the Camera app so GPS data is captured each time a picture is taken. To do this, open the Camera app, swipe down from the top of the screen and tap Settings. Within this menu, ensure Geotag Pictures is turned on. Once you have enabled Geotag Pictures, to view your pictures on a map, complete the following steps: - Open the Pictures app
- Tap followed by Map
- On the map, do any of the following:
- To pan the map, drag your finger on the screen in any direction.
- To zoom in, slide your fingers apart
- To zoom out, slide your fingers together.
- To view pictures, do one of the following:
- To view all of the pictures taken in a specific location, on the map, tap .
- To view all of the pictures taken in the visible area of the map, tap View Pictures
- To view a specific location on the map, tap > Search for Location
