Yesterday I attended Get in the Ring Regional Final Middle East at Four Seasons Hotel, Riyadh. There was one startup Food For People (FFP) started by Bengali students and it was focused on charity work. I went through there profile and would like to share my feedback to help them improve and survive in money focused market.
There are several repetitions in the business profile, being students we are told to follow certain processes for documentation but in reality we have limited time and opportunity to make an impact, I would suggest to reduce the size of the business profile, remove all repetitions and make it as small and simple as possible.
Improving the quality of English will also help in getting more attention from native English investors.
As the aim is to solve a very serious problem, thus I feel the logo is not a proper match, I would recommend to work on it to make it look more relevant and professional.
Lastly, the profile is missing concrete numbers on how and how much money FFP is making and how much return is expected for the investors, this needs to be included with solid projections.
There is a similar service already working in Riyadh, maybe a collaboration can be done and FFP can learn from Eta'am's experience:http://naumankhan.blogspot.com/2014/04/etaam-saudi-food-bank-great-initiative.html
Acumen can also be contacted, they might be able to share some insight in such business: http://acumen.org/
Best of Luck!
