BBM Channels: Quick tips for the power user

So, BBM Channels has now hit the masses, which I'm very excited about. We've gone through BBM Channel basics on how to search, subscribe to and create a channel and also gone through showing you the BBM CMC (Channel Management Console).

Let's now dig deeper. There are lots of very interesting channels to discover (you can see Team CrackBerry's recommendations here). You'll find soon enough that you've subscribed to dozens of channels and it may get a bit too much to cope with. Fear not, there are a few things you can I to make things flow a little smoother.

Event: Dine in the Dark

An initiative is taken for the first time in Saudi Arabia to empower the visually impaired by hosting the famous French Restaurant “Dans Le Noir” in Riyadh. This unique event will enable visitors to experience the loss of sight by having dinner in complete darkness. They will get the chance to re-evaluate their perceptions of senses while they are guided and served by trained Saudi blinds.
All proceeds from the event will go towards supporting training and development programs to involve the visually impaired in Saudi job market"

Nutty Player from Macadamian takes your video watching experience on BlackBerry 10 to another level

For most folks, the built-in BlackBerry 10 video player works fine but for those who are looking to get a bit more features added into the video player there's Nutty Player. Although the app has been around for a while now, I only recently decided to give it a look in and I have to say I'm quite pleased with it considering it's available as a free download. While maintaining a lot of the features from the stock video player, Nutty Player takes your video watching experience on BlackBerry 10 to another level.
