Previously all Airlines flying from Riyadh Airport use to allow one 10 liters Zam Zam bottle, to be carried free of cost with baggage per ticket, but in last 2 years, this has changed and now several restrictions have been applied by airlines.
Following Airlines are still allowing carrying Zam Zam water bottle free of cost per ticket:
PIA – Allowing 5 liters bottle as of December 2017
Sri Lankan Airlines - Allowing 10 liters bottle as of June 2015
Oman Air – Allowing 5 liters bottle as of Oct 2018
Etihad – Allowing 10 liters bottle as of April 2014
Following Airlines are not allowing carrying Zam Zam water bottle free of cost per ticket:
FlyNas - Not allowing as of June 2015
Gulf Air – Not allowing as of March 2019
Shaheen Air - Stopped Operating as of October 2018
Qatar Airways – Stopped Operating in KSA as of June 2017
Gulf Air – Not allowing as of March 2019
Shaheen Air - Stopped Operating as of October 2018
Qatar Airways – Stopped Operating in KSA as of June 2017
Emirates - Not allowing as of October 2015 (No change as of Mar 2018)
Saudi Airlines – Not allowing as of June 2015 (No change as of Mar 2019)
(From Saudi Airlines Website) Please be informed that the passengers who will travel from Riyadh airport to domestic or international airports are allowed to carry a one-gallon package of Zamzam water as a part of their free allowed checked-in baggage and any excess weight will be charged and collected from the normal excess baggage rates.
